Seeing the your golf ball dive at right angles is the most common golf shot for most beginners and it also affects more experienced golfers as well when they get out of their swing sequence.
The next video shows you what happens when you start the golf swing by throwing or hitting from the top of your golf swing without moving your hips first. Wendy's natural swing method was to turn her shoulders and let the club go from the top of her swing.
Watch Wendy's video......watch the lack of hip and leg action
Now watch this video and notice her hips and the transfer of weight
And from behind
Wendy was a chronic slicer and yet played to a good handicap of between 12 and 15. But her problem was a lack of distance. As you have seen we have made some simple and basic changes which has allowed her to swing easier and longer.
The most important area that will reduce the chance for you to slice the ball is to start the downswing with your hips first and keep your hands passive or quiet until you can blend both together.
You may of noticed how Wendy cocks under with her wrists and then her shoulder turn allows the club to go to the top. This action keeps everything on the inside.
This inside position can be retained by moving the left hip straight forward with NO attempt to turn. Your golf club will stay on the inside track ready to be released.
This is a very critical aspect of our golf swing method and should be practised and engrained into memory because this method will eliminate slicing guaranteed.
Re look at the videos and see what similarities you may have with the first video. It is very dangerous to start the downswing with hands first as this tends to take your point of contact outside the line causing an out to in swing which puts side spin on the ball.
Our worse shots in the "A Perfect Swing" golf instruction are normally push shots and pull shots. Slicing just doesn't show up that often as our golf swing teachers the right golf swing sequence.
